Reusing trash and creating junk "art"

Today we spent our science period reusing trash and making art. The students have a good understanding of both recycling and reducing, but we wanted to take an opportunity to practice reusing materials. They had a blast! Everyone created multiple different pieces of "art". We hope parents weren't too disappointed to see the trash they sent to school come back home with them this afternoon. :) Here are some pictures of their creations.
