Yesterday the Second Grade took their first quiz on properties of objects and states of matter. After we introduced a scientific substance and did an experiment to decide if it was a solid or a liquid. After much examining, testing, and playing- the students concluded that Ubleck is neither a solid nor a liquid because it has properties of both.
Ubleck is a GREAT raining day activity. WARNING it is rather messy, but the kids just love it!
Ubleck
1 cup corn starch to 1 1/2 cups water (add food coloring to water to make the goo a fun color)
